The venerable Santa Barbara restaurant was out of business, but demand for its salad dressing continued unabated. We positioned the dressing as “French country,” commissioned a witty and iconic illustration of a Citroën Deux Chevaux puttering through the countryside, restored the restaurant’s old lettering, and an irreverent (and pricey) product was born.
